About Our Company
Nakamae International Economic Research (NIER), established in June 1986, was Japan's first independent private economic research institute. NIER's overall aim is to provide reliable, independent analysis of the Japanese economy within an international context in order to support our clients' investment decisions regarding currencies, interest rates, and equities. Our many clients include leading domestic and overseas financial institutions and multinationals. The main focus of our research, in practice, is fundamental analysis of the Japanese economy and related political developments. Our strength lies in our independence, as well as our more global perspective on the events and trends that materially affect the financial markets and the Japanese economy.
